ACORN - Light Fixture

“Acorn” is a fixture made to represent both simplicity and subtle elegance. This is an accent fixture made to stun. Using recycled Mahogany simply turned for the top shade and sustainably sourced PLA plastic for the semi transparent lower shade perfectly married together with local tanned leather and brass “Acorn” is created. The combination of soft curves and sharper edges creates a clean and sophisticated quality that will complement beautifully with any interior.  Whether in a small reading nook or or an open living room “Acorn’s” soft glow can warm up any space.

A Finalist in the IWF Design Emphasis 2018 Atlanta Competition

When “ACORN” is off all of her features are show. Her elegant mahogany top shade delicately attached with tanned leather to a soft white shade that seemingly hovers underneath. The contrast of her wood and plastic gives her a sophisticated and modern appeal.

When turned on the real treat occurs. “ACORN” lights up with a glow of contrast. Her darker features begin to soften and become less prominent while her lower semi-iridescent shade lights up in a fantastic warm tone. All together she shines with an irresistible charm.

During the summer of 2018 “ACORN” was chosen as a finalist for for the International Woodworking Fair, in Atlanta, Georgia in the category of Accent Furnishings.
